AFSC puts Quaker values into action by bringing together people of various faiths who are committed to working for peace and justice. I have had the opportunity to cover testimony and Capitol Hill advocacy visits on the issue of immigration and detention as well as community dialogues on the topic of racism and police brutality. While shooting in the field for AFSC, my assignment has been to illustrate both the cause or concern coupled with the impact on individual lives and their futures.
